HOLY HOUR  WITH FATHER SMITH

During Lent, 2017 I read an article about the priests of the parish praying for the people of the parish and the needs of the parish and inviting the people of the parish to join in this prayer.

Since my arrival at St. Anthony of Padua in November 2003, my daily prayer time has always included praying for the priests of the parish, (when I refer to the priests serving the parish I include Fr. Wassef and any priest who exercises his priestly ministry in the parish that particular week,) the people of the parish and the needs of the parish.

After reading the article mentioned above, I decided that on Good Friday, 2017 I would spend  some time at both worship sites between 12noon and 2:00pm and invite the people of the parish to join me for this specific purpose.  I recently re-read that article.  After re-reading that article I decided  that almost every week I will invite you to join me in this public time of prayer. The day, the time and which parish worship site will vary so everyone will have an opportunity to join as your schedule permits.  You may not be able to join in this prayer time every week, please join me  in this time of public prayer when your schedule permits.  At times, it may be a sacrifice to join in this time of prayer.  If you do make this sacrifice, you will be richly blessed.
